Basic Terminology

What is the difference between taking courses, classes or lessons?

The following vocabulary is used in the content of this blog:
Course is the broadest term for the study of a subject. It could be used to refer to an entire degree program, but it is most appropriately applied to a specific subject such as Construction Science and Technology OR Computer Aided Architectural Design, etc.
Class is more specific and is most properly applied to a section of a course taught by one instructor to one group of students at a certain scheduled time.
Lesson (or Lecture)is the most specific and implies a particular unit of instruction, such as would be delivered by a particular instructor to a particular class on a given day.

Below information is necessary for those who are unfamiliar with the terminology in their mother tongue:

Constructionis the process, art, or manner of constructing (connecting pieces of a real world entity or system within a predefined structure and rule set) something.
Finishingis the process, art, or manner of covering, completing and refurbishing a constructed structure.
BIMis an acronym for either "Building Information Model(s)" OR "Building Information Management" AND NOT "Building Information Modelling" (More about this later…)
BIM Productis a term inherited from "Building Information Model(s)"
BIM Solution is a term inherited from Building Information Management"
